Archive for February, 2008 Tomorrow, Aviva and Ema head to Vegas. They will be gambling, drinking. . . no . . . wait, actually they are designing a booth at the Pool Tradeshow for Portland designers, sky&boat. sky&boat’s latest addition to the fashion universe is built around the concept of a universe adventurer. Obviously, this is something, we can really get behind. Most likely, Aviva and Ema will also be attending some funny parties thrown by New York and LA hipsters while also getting the low-down on the latest in all-over print hoodies over at Magic. We can only hope that they score some excellent swag and see Nicky Hilton selling purses at Project. If you are going to be in Vegas at the same time for Magic/Project/Pool/United/Gambling . . . hit us up. There is always the Bellagio buffet to look forward to. Here is a sneak peek of what you will see at the sky&boat booth. no comments
Starring, your best friends, The Adventure School. . . Come to this. We will give you a treat and some invaluable ideas. Here is the O-fficial announcement. We will be collaborating with The Shunpike for the next installment of their successful Accountability & the Arts series. Planning Effective Special Events will be held Monday, February 11th at 7pm in the Seattle Center House. This session will offer strategies and techniques for maximizing the raising of funds and fun at special events. A special event can help an arts group raise funds, introduce people to their work, and bring together crucial stakeholders. They can also be a major drain on finances and time for staff and volunteers. Planning and executing events to maximize their effectiveness is a delicate process. Accountability & the Arts: This is the most boring blog post that we have ever written, but making a ketubah is actually super fun.
The Adventure School offered the kind readers of the Winter edition of Seattle Metropolitan Bride and Groom magazine some advice about setting the tone for your marriage on your wedding day.
The Adventure School was asked to donate some of it’s services to an auction to benefit The Polyclinic Foundation on Thursday. Specifically, we are creating an Office Party with The Adventure School and Trophy Cupcakes!!! The Polyclinic Community Health Foundation is the non-profit arm of the clinic, and I’m fairly excited about it because they do totally great things like: help low income, uninsured people pay for their prescription medications; coordinate the donation of appointments with Polyclinic specialists; and send unused medical supplies to developing nations. Here’s more info about our contribution: Straight from the auction catalog . . . “A special event can help bring your staff together! Tell them you appreciate them with an office cupcake party by The Adventure School and Trophy Cupcakes. Is someone celebrating retirement, a promotion, a birthday? Has a big project been finished? A product been shipped? Time for a quick little party!
