It’s very sadly that I can say that my internship at The Adventure School is ending.
On May 13th I will have to leave Seattle, a city I’ve been experiencing for eight months now.
Here is a list of the things I’m going to miss the most :
- Having breakfast in front of Mount Rainier ( okay, when it’s very sunny and when my back allows me to contort enough so that I can see it from my window)
- Pass by the Chinese stores which have ducks in their windows every morning at 9. The smell that comes with it is unforgettable.
- Going to Uwajimaya every day and get to sample some delicious Teriyaki chicken.
- Considering any sunbeam as an opportunity to have a walk and a picnic in Discovery Park.
- Surfing on priceline.com and tell myself that with those good deals I could go everywhere in the US.
- Getting my dream outfit in a thrift shop and being able to tell everyone I got it for $2.99 only!
- Eat some delicious pastries from Three Girls Bakery at the Pike Place Market park while listening to this delicate mix of cars noises coming from the highway, gull shouts and boat horns.
- Living with this adventurous feeling that if the Mount Rainier was blasting, Seattle could be devastated and it would be the remake of the movie ‘Volcano’ and I would be rescued by Tommy Lee Jones.
- Go to Leschi park on Sunday afternoon. Have a Vietnamese sandwich from Saigon Deli and read my book “French Women Don’t Get Fat” while drinking a diet soda.
- Go to a meeting with The Adventure School, using its awesome car, Las Cruces. Ask Aviva to put the heater on, very very high.
- Talk to my friends on Skype in the morning when my day is beginning whereas it’s night-time in France and they have to go to bed. Sleeping is BORING!!
- Tell myself that I could meet Dr Shepherd on the ferry boat any time. Didn’t you know, that he’s living in a trailer on Bainbridge Island and not in LA!!!
- This list has no end. Seattle is an awesome city to live in. Not as good as Paris, but one always needs n°2 and Seattle is my n°2.
