2009 Henry Art Gallery Gala
We were proud to plan the 2009 Henry Art Gallery benefit, See Listen Taste Feel! We worked with a group of the most amazing people at The Henry and elsewhere, including Jeppe Hein, the Berlin-based visionary behind the event, to transform a light industrial space in South Lake Union into party central. The party was as delicious as it was beautiful, featuring incredible food by Johnathan Sundstrom from Lark and glam desserts from Bakery Nouveau’s chef/owner William Leaman, Champion De Monde de la Boulangerie. Jeppe Hein created a vision complete with burning barrels in the parking lot to 30 secret ping-pong tables and a large site specific installation entitled 360º Illusion to enchant all who wandered in from Chihuly to SHAG members (Student / Henry Advisory Group). Entertainment was a beautiful chaos including composer Zeke Keeble and bassist Evan Florey-Barnes, Orkestar Zirconium

PopCap Games Winter Party
We created an awesome Aurora Borealis as witnessed from an Alaskan Lodge for PopCap Games’ annual holiday party. Every detail was authentic from the hundred Stansport red lanterns burning the midnight oil to the hand carved wooden sign. It was a green affair with 20 pairs of free-cycled skis, found deer antlers, family heirloom chainsaw carvings and several vintage toboggans. DJ Whatever spun some clever tunes while guests gambled the night away, sang to karaoke in the Northern Lights Karaoke den, took ice luge shots and blended boozy milkshakes on the bike-powered Adventure blender. All capped off by a midnight snack of good old fashioned grilled cheese sandwiches. |

Weddings: Phoebe and Julian
We were quite pleased to plan Phoebe and Julian’s destination wedding! It was a beautiful time! The ceremony and reception took place at the Strawberry Music Festival at Camp Mather in Yosemite, California. The couple lives in Seattle but are both from California’s Bay Area. About the wedding: Style of Wedding: Phoebe and Julian got married at an eclectic bluegrass music festival in the forest at Yosemite that they had both been going to unbeknownst to each other as young children with their families. They also were really into continuing their regular practices of camping, living green and eating a vegetarian diet into their wedding festivities. How They Met: At a Non Violent Communication Workshop in 2003 How They Got Engaged: Julian took Phoebe on a surprise 3rd anniversary trip to Orcas Island to look at wildlife, then he got down on one knee to nervously propose! Other Details: All photos by Nikolay Misharev Photography, Bay Area, CA.

Shunpike Community Celebration
Over 80 people from the Shunpike community were present to mingle, drink and talk about their various projects. Many amazing artists, supporters, funders, and friends were on hand to gather around for some speeches from Shunpike board and staffers and kick off the fall arts season. Among the many attendees were representatives from Shunpike Partner Artists: Walla Walla Chamber Music Festival, dirty girl productions and many more. The Sole Repair Shop venue was equal parts sophistication and coziness as people from all over the city and state got pumped to win free tickets to see The Snow Project : New dance/sound/performance by choreographer Allison Van Dyck with sound by Kamran Sadeghi. |
