I have come across some pretty spectacular caves lately! It’s become a highlight of my daily researching. As I was investigating these REALLY SPECTACULAR photos today, I realized that most are done by the same photographer! WHOA! What a life! Not only is Carsten Peter taking incredible photos but he’s visiting the world’s coolest places too! So envious! Might I also add that I am SO VERY excited to see Werner Herzog‘s movie, “Cave of Forgotten Dreams.” Happy March! Enjoy! ![]() 1,000ft below the Chihuahua Desert in Mexico! It's so hot they have to wear ice-cool air backpacks and suits! no comments
Happy Valentine’s Day! For any of you who don’t actually know me, I am completely enamored by Andy & Kate Spade. I think they are absolutely brilliant! Even though they don’t actually own Kate Spade anymore, I still love the company! Here is a little Kinga Burza film to Soko‘s, “I Will Never Love You More.” Enjoy! Valentine’s day is coming! Some of the best presents are the ones that are handmade…or handmade by someone else! Feel inspired to craft! Enjoy! Last week I posted about my love for mid century modern lattice patterns…Well, when I first moved to Seattle, this is one of the very very first things I decided to do, to turn my place into a home. A wee bit tedious but SO VERY WORTH IT! First, I painted the door white. I measured out where the lines would need to be and taped the whole entire door with strips of tape. Then, I took an exacto knife and cut out the pieces of tape that weren’t necessary. A couple coats of yellow paint on top. Wait for the paint to dry…Take off the tape & PRESTO! Enjoy!
I started the beginning of last week in Arizona, where temperatures reached what felt like ALL TIME LOWS! It was COLD people! COLD! Then, I popped back up to Seattle, where I was faced with the inevitable low temps. But was still, I was not truly prepared for my body being stiff and frozen. This brings us to today’s blog post. I have this LOVE for very awesome, very eclectic blankets. Maybe you need one to keep warm with or maybe you will discover one to add to this years wish list. Either way, I hope you find these inspiring! Enjoy! 1. Pendleton $198-319/ 2. Dennis Basson (Faux Fur) $69.96 (on sale) /3. Antique Quilts Selected by Hay $181/ 4. Plus 9 by Hay $290/5. Z-Gallerie Lazo Throw $59.95/6. West Elm Chunky Tassel Throw $69 (the gold metallic actually has glistening gold areas in it!) I came, I saw, I met lots of people! I knew a highlight was going to be watching the Aqualilies! I also met some exceptionally nice people at Hitched. For one, there was a very cute area called the “Grooms Lounge,” where men could eat snacks, get drinks, get a Rudy’s Barbershop haircut or learn how to tie a bow tie! Dress Launderette provided the step by step teaching lessons, as well as some absolutely gorgeous bow ties to work with! (This was probably my partner in crime‘s most favorite place to hang.) Ban.do had the SWEETEST tent towards the entrance, lined with pink ribbon, mylar, streamers and confetti systems…And of course, their hair pieces and pins were ooohed and ahhhed like candy! Ladies of Fiore Beauty kept busy, dishing out make-up advice & applying it on to some beauties. The cutie behind Mae Mae Paperie, Megan Gonzalez, was a sweet as her company’s aesthetic! And of course, Smilebooth was an overall crowd favorite! I am keeping my eyes peeled because I can’t wait to see how those pictures turned out! Overall, it was a great experience! My favorite theme was utilized, I can’t really complain about being around so many creative people, and people thought I was a “bride to be”! Here are some of the photos I took… Happy Friday! Enjoy! This stuff is everywhere! Maybe I’m extra into it these days, because I found my DREAM white iron lattice headboard/wall partition, while browsing RED Modern Furniture in Phoenix! On a side note…There’s also a section in RED called MINT Vintage Clothing, which is operated by the wife of this husband and wife duo. It may be small but it is 100% AMAZING! Now, I’ve created a small gathering of an assortment of all things mid century lattice pattern! If you’re interested in achieving that mid century look, you can actually purchase these blocks through A-1 Block. This has Palm Springs & Trina Turk written ALL OVER IT! Enjoy! Via Trina Turk, thelennoxx, moderndesigninterior, casasugar & Becolorful HAPPY FEBRUARY!!!!!!!!! To kick off this month, I’d like to share my LOVE for sequin pants! I’ve been wanting a pair for quite some time! Maybe you have too? Enjoy.
Woot Woot! I am jazzed to go to the Ace Hotel, Palm Springs, for Hitched Event! It’s going to be a blast! For those who don’t know about this awesome event, it’s directed towards the new and improved, more innovative and creative weddings! Most of the vendors featured at this weekends soiree are from LA. Show the ladies at Bash Please & Urbanic Paper some LOVE and check it out! I think I’m most excited to see the Aqualillies perform! And don’t worry! I will be taking LOTS of pics and post them next week:) HAPPY FRIDAY! My love for these beautiful structures are beyond words! Around the holiday season, I came across a cute cat teepee by Loyal Luxe. Cute, right? I would love to be putting my cat into this, while wearing Opening Ceremony/Pendleton by shorts. This can all happen right before I attend a tipi wedding party! Too bad I didn’t make it to this one, featured on Intimate Weddings… | |
