Where to even begin…Right before I flew back up to Seattle, I went and saw Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan. It was INCREDIBLE! The acting was so flawless that I still talk about it! I found some alternate posters done by two different designers. The pink poster was created by Sam Smith. The series of posters were designed by British design studio LaBoca and were inspired by ballet posters from the early 20th century as well as Czech & Polish posters of the 60′s & 70′s.  I love both variations & I thought I should share! Enjoy!

This picture is even better than BANANAS! I stumbled upon this photo while browsing Darling Dexter. I hope these colors inspire you, just as much as they inspires me! Enjoy!

These are extremely overdue but I thought I should share them anyway. Here are a handful of pictures from my personal Thanksgiving table in Arizona this year.

I purchased:

  • two yards of burlap, a 12 pack of votives & 2 green candle sticks from Michaels
  • assorted squash from the Phoenix Farmer’s Market
  • colorful corn from the local grocery store

Everything else, we already had. This was insanely inexpensive, and understated!  I just LOVE Thanksgiving! Until next year…Enjoy!

One thing I strongly believe in is to ALWAYS find a way to reuse things! Last week I was sitting in my nice little “living room” corner (at the office) thinking about the hundreds and hundreds of near expired votive candles we have out in the hall. I had some jute twine sitting next to me and decided to wrap a votive with it.

I am so excited with my final product because I have found a way we can reuse these votives AND they look cool!!! You can stick a little tea light candle in there since you can’t see in. No one will ever know!

When illuminated, there are just enough small gaps between each row of jute that the glow of the candle shines through. It’s beautiful!

I have come across the subject of how to maximize the use of  small spaces several times this month! I am completely MESMERIZED by multi purpose furniture! Resource furniture overall makes the most efficient furniture for small spaces!  I also found  a pretty nifty book by Apartment Therapy called Big Book of Small, Cool Space and you must check out this clip of what one architect managed to accomplish in just 344 square feet!!!! On top of that, this was featured on my most favorite channel PLANET GREEN!  Enjoy!

Anyone who knows me could tell you that I’m not particularly fond of live birds but for some reason I’m completely drawn to bird prints, whimsy bird cages, bird jewelry, etc.  Last night I was searching for a new table lamp & I came across the COOLEST bird cage light collection on The Conran Shop. I love how these are whimsy meets kitschy! Enjoy!

People don’t wear enough things on their head! I’m starting an “Accessorize your head to the EXTREME” movement!

Ban.do also makes some pretty awesome headbands & clearly Cori knows how to accessorize her head!

I grew up dancing my whole life which is why I have a total appreciation for dancers. Being a visually stimulated person, I am inspired by whimsical photography and if they have dancers in them, even better!  Last week, I stumbled upon two extremely inspiring photographers, Cade Martin & Jordan Matter. These photos will blow your mind!
